**Note: In this textbook, the author uses quotes from inmates which contains
profanity. While the school staff does not agree with the use of this language, the
author is allowing the chaplain student to glimpse the reality of working and
ministering to individuals that are in a dark and sometimes painful place in their lives.
DV 5243 The Principles of Prison Ministry Textbook
Dr. Tommy Seay, Jr. / Dr. Lawrence Burkes

ministry is all about. This course will help navigate you through some of the trouble
areas in this difficult world of prisons.

empower any pastor, educator, or lay leader in doing effective prison ministry by
providing a thorough "inside-out" view of prison life.
