CREDIT INFORMATION
There are three ways to earn credit at RMBC.
1. Transfer Credit:
RMBC will evaluate and accept in transfer all completed courses passed at any approved
institution, with at least a “C” average. These courses will be evaluated and recorded on the official
transcript. Only courses that can be applied to RMBC degree programs will be accepted as transfer
credits. All transfer credits must be received by RMBC from the institution where the credit was
earned. Transcripts must indicate “Official Transcript” and signed by the Registrar of that
institution.
2. Prior Learning Credit: (Maximum credit allowed: 30 hours)
RMBC awards credits for prior learning, seminars, study course classes, and workshops attended
through work or church as long as they correspond to the course of study the student is involved
in for his or her degree. For every 12.5 hours of actual attendance at seminars, study course classes,
or workshops; RMBC will award one credit hour. The church or facility giving the seminar, study
course class, or workshop must document all CEU credit. If for some reason documentation cannot
be obtained from the facility, the applicant must present a notarized statement indicating he or she
has attended the seminar, study course class, or workshop, and indicate the dates attended and the
hours involved. Prior learning credit will be give as follows: for each year of work that is related
to his or her course of study, the student will be given nine (9) credit hours.
3. Course Completion:
RMBC offers in-house classes on campus and at other locations as well as provides distant learning
and Online courses for students to take in the privacy of their own home and to operate at their
own pace. Contact our office to get a schedule of classes being offered on campus.
