BCC 613 Biblical Crisis Counseling: Not If but When Textbook

The word crisis comes from the Greek krisis, which literally means decision. When trials,
temptations, disasters, personal sin can bring people to a point of crisis. How they respond-
the decision they make will determine the outcome. This course will provide a template
upon which the counselor can base his or her crisis ministry.

people’s lives. It covers everything from post-traumatic stress disorder to counseling

This course will help the counseling student to recognize the symptoms displayed by those
who have experienced different types of traumas in their lives. It will further instruct them
in the most effective methods of counseling to be used for the particular trauma

This course will help show how to accept God’s grace, truth, and time as it relates to us. It
will help us to understand bonding relationships to God and others. You will learn about
boundaries and how to develop healthy boundaries.
