Keep the following guidelines in mind when preparing book entries for the Works Cited list.

                   1. Author: An author’s name (exactly as it appears on the title page) should appear as: Last name

first, followed by a comma, then by the First and Middle names or initials. Put a period after

                       the author’s name.

                   2. Title: Copy the title and subtitle (if any) from the title page, not from the cover or spine of the

book. Underline the title and capitalize all major words. Separate the main title from the

subtitle with a colon. Put a period after the title and subtitle.

                   3. Publication Information: Copy the publication information (the city of publication, the

publisher, and the year of publication) from the title and copyright pages. If more than one

city is listed on the title page, cite the first one only. Put a colon and one space after the city

of publication before the publisher’s name.
