Note 1: If the student has not taken BS 613 The Gifts and The Calling of God,
TH6123 Comparative Religions & Hermeneutics, TH6223 A Survey of Bible Doctrine,
TH6233 Know What You Believe 623 Crisis Counseling and Pastoral Psychology, DV
633 Ethics and Legal Issues in Christian Counseling, DV 643 The Basics of Hospital
Chaplaincy, DV 653 The Work of the Chaplain, DV 663 Pastoral Care in Hospitals,
DV 673 Crisis and Trauma Counseling, DV 6353 The First 48 Hours, DV 6193
Hospital Ministry, or DV 6203 Ministry of Hospital Chaplains, he or she must take
them at this time. In addition, if the student has had no experience in the work in
hospital counseling or as a Chaplain, he or she must do DV 613 Divinity Hospital
Practicum.
Note 2: In order to receive a Doctor of Philosophy in Divinity, a student must have a
minimum of forty-five (45) hours in Divinity.

addition, if the student has had no experience in the work of Prison Ministry or as a
Chaplain, he or she must do DV 613 Divinity Prison Practicum.
